At least one of the judges had the good sense to say that Derrick Berry impersonating Britney Spears was bad. On the other hand, David Hasselhoff said that Derrick Berry had him questioning his manhood while the other judge thought he was great.
If he was going to impersonate someone, why not choose someone decent, not the drunken train wreck that is Britney Spears. Between her time at the nut house and her binge drinking and the terrible example she sets for all the young girls who look up to her as a role model, Britney Spears is the last person anyone should be imitating.
I’m sure that Derrick Berry impersonating Britney Spears will go far in the Americas Got Talent contest. It just shows how low we have sunk as a nation.

actually, he has been working at “britney” for years and has made a wonderful living for himself. i will give you they did bad cuts and closeups, but his show in vegas La Cage, is fabulous. Maybe be you are middle aged crazy…He’s wonderful.
I think I may have known Derrick Berry from a performance before, which is freaky, but I think it was brilliant nonetheless. You need to lighten up and step into the new millennia. Come on love, I know you can do it.

It only feels weird because you’re conditioned to the current American norm. In fact, in the history of Japanese and Chinese culture, only men were allowed to act and had to play female roles. Women were NOT allowed to act and play roles at all, so men were expected to impersonate women. The better the impersonation, the more prestige and money.

Sorry, since when are you the moral barometer for the world? Not only was it a part of the Japanese and Chinese culture for only men to take women’s roles, but it was in European culture as well until the beginning of the 19th century. All of the female roles in Shakespeare’s time were portrayed by MEN-even Juliet and Kate! Okay, so Britney is now a train wreck. I doubt that she was when Derrick began developing the impersonation. Is it the impersonation that is your problem or are you gender-phobic?

Yes, you are ‘old fashioned’ in the sense that you are bigoted. A reasonable assumption is that this is an opinion formed by your religious beliefs. Derrick Berry is a wonderful female impersonator. The line between woman and man is not as clear as you may believe. A funny thing to me is this history: a lot of times, people you shout the loudest, practice or are interested in whatever they are shouting against. So, what brand of lipstick you you wear sir?
